We have lived and worked in the community for over 25 years allowing us to establish long-term relationships with many of the physicians in the community. Since we are local, the pathologists are always available to discuss results with you.

 

Wayne M. Schultheis, M.D., FCAP - Medical Director
 

Dr. Schultheis earned his M.D. from the University of Southern California and received training at Los Angeles-USC Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology. He was also Director of Cytology and Fine Needle Aspiration at USC-Norris Cancer Center. In addition to his position at TOPA Diagnostics, Dr. Schultheis is Chief of Pathology at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Schultheis is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He has published several articles and given presentations at scientific associations on a variety of topics.

Edward I. Blackman, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Blackman earned his M.D. at the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School and received training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Blackman has received multiple awards and honors, including the Leo G. Rigler award as Outstanding Resident from the Department of Pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has published numerous articles on several topics, predominantly in the field of gastrointestinal pathology, including ulcerative colitis, cryptosporidiosis, cytomegalovirus and duodenal neoplasia. His work has been presented at several national scientific organizations. He has also been a reviewer for the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Blackman is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Cytopathology. He is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Regina P.C. Singson, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Singson earned her M.D. at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and received training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident in Pathology for two years. Dr. Singson has received several awards and honors, including the Leo G. Rigler award for Outstanding Resident at Cedars Sinai for two consecutive years. Dr. Singson is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology. Dr. Singson has a special interest and expertise in G.I. pathology that includes the presentation of her work at national meetings of scientific organizations and the publication of several articles. She is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Jianming (James) Yin, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Yin earned his M.D. from Weifang Medical College and received training at Beijing Medical University in China and at the University of Kentucky, where he also earned his Ph.D. in Oncological Biochemistry. Dr. Yin has received many awards and honors, including Donald West King award for outstanding performance in pathology training. Dr. Yin is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. He has published many articles on gene regulation in hematological and nonhematological neoplasms. His work has been presented at several national scientific meetings. Dr. Yin is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Danielle E. Westfall, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Westfall earned her M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health. She completed pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident in Pathology. Dr. Westfall also completed a fellowship in genitourinary pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Westfall was the recipient of the Nathan B. Friedman award for Outstanding Resident Research and earned a CAP Foundation Grant for the study of digital pathology. As a member of both state and national pathology organizations, she has served on several committees, and is currently on the Surgical Pathology Committee for the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and has been appointed as a California delegate to the CAP House of Delegates. Her publications are on a variety of topics, with a focus in genitourinary pathology, and include numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters. She has presented her research at several national scientific meetings. Dr. Westfall is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is currently on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Sanja Krajisnik, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Krajisnik earned her M.D. at the University Djuro Pucar Stari, School of Medicine in Bosnia. She completed pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Surgical Pathology Fellowship at UCLA, and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Krajisnik is board certified in Dermatology from the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine. She has a special interest and expertise in Dermatopathology. Dr. Krajisnik has several publications and scientific presentations. She is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Eric Broxham, M.D
 
Dr. Eric Broxham received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, TX. He then underwent pathology residency training at Los Angeles County- USC Medical Center (LAC-USC). During this time he served as Chief resident. He then completed a surgical pathology fellowship LAC-USC of which he received a ‘Most Outstanding Fellow’ award. Next, he completed a cytopathology fellowship at LAC-USC during which he served as co-chief fellow. Throughout his training he published many collaborative articles over a variety of topics. Dr. Broxham is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as in Cytopathology. He is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Devki Patel, M.D
 
Dr. Patel earned her M.D. from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and received pathology residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She completed a surgical pathology fellowship at LAC+USC Medical Center and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Patel has presented several abstracts at national scientific meetings. She is currently on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Michael Schmidt, D.O.
 
Dr. Schmidt earned his D.O. degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his combined anatomic pathology/clinical pathology residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he participated in and completed the Clinical Scholars Training Program. As a resident, Dr. Schmidt received the Nathan B. Friedman award for Outstanding Resident Research. He then went on to complete a Hematology Pathology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His research has been presented at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology annual meeting for the last 4 years and most recently as a fellow he was a finalist for the Stowell-Orbison Award, USCAPs most prestigious award for surgical pathology research. Dr. Schmidt is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. Dr. Schmidt is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Richard H. Kelty, M.D., FCAP
 
Dr. Kelty earned his M.D. at the University of Michigan Medical School and fulfilled residencies at the Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota Health Sciences Center. In addition to board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dr. Kelty is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is on the medical staff at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center and is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists.

Dean L. Moyer, M.D
 
Dr. Moyer earned his M.D. at the University of Rochester Medical School, New York. After receiving residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and the UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Moyer was the Chief of Anatomic Pathology at Women’s Hospital at the LA County-USC Medical Center for over 10 years. Dr. Moyer served as the Chairman of the Pathology Department at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance, California for eight years. During his career he specialized in GYN pathology and participated in multiple clinical trials providing data to the FDA. In that capacity, he has evaluated thousands of endometrial biopsies in conjunction with hormone replacement therapy in women. Dr. Moyer has maintained a private gynecological pathology practice for more than 20 years.
